What the client needed.
The outdoor rooms at Vogue Supreme all face the same direction — the Aegean — and that is exactly the problem. A spa terrace, a pool pavilion and a garden dining deck each needed privacy of their own, but anything solid enough to give it would have taken the view away from the guests behind it. The architecture was already finished: concrete columns, timber posts, rattan and dense planting. What the hotel wanted was not more furniture but one material running through all of it, soft enough to sit against and honest enough to be seen up close, on surfaces guests touch every day in sun and salt air.
How we designed it.
We used a single material — rope — and changed only its density. Where separation was needed, we knotted screens that are open at standing height and dense at seated eye level, so a cabana or a dining terrace feels enclosed without blocking anyone’s horizon. At the pool, a beaded rope curtain does the same job for light: it breaks the midday glare into a pattern instead of a flat shadow. The existing columns were wrapped by hand rather than hidden, so the building’s own structure carries the craft. The language then drops to ground level in coiled rope planters that follow the deck around the pines, which is where guests actually notice the knot. Everything was made to measure in our Antalya atelier and finished on site.
