Rixos Premium Belek
Handcrafted shade at Rixos Premium Belek — a macramé fringe canopy marking The Beach Lounge entrance and fringed parasols over poolside dining, made to brand standard and reproducible across properties.
What the client needed.
Rixos works to a brand standard, and that changes what a craft supplier has to prove. A piece cannot be a one-off that happens to photograph well at one property — it has to be specified, repeatable and replaceable, because the same detail may be asked for again at another hotel or after a season of wear. The work here sits in the two most exposed places on a resort: the entrance to The Beach Lounge, which sets the guest’s expectation before they walk in, and the dining tables at the pool, where shade is not decoration but the reason the table sells.
How we designed it.
We built both pieces from the same knot and the same cord so they read as one family from a distance. Over the Beach Lounge entrance, a macramé fringe canopy gives the opening a defined edge against open sky — fringe deep enough to move in the wind, which is what makes a static entrance feel alive. At the pool, the fringe parasol does the working version of the same idea: an open weave that keeps air moving through instead of trapping heat under it, and casts a pattern rather than a hard shadow over the table. Both are made to fixed dimensions in our Antalya atelier, so a replacement ordered next season is identical to the one before it — the part of handmade work that hotel groups actually need from us.
