Production Lead Times

All Dimare products are handcrafted to order. No item is held in stock. Production begins only after a written order confirmation and receipt of the agreed deposit.

Packaging & Dispatch

Every piece is photographed before packaging. Textiles and soft goods are vacuum-rolled into acid-free tissue and packed in reinforced cardboard boxes. Large hard structures (umbrellas, frames, tables) are packed in custom-built wooden crates with corner protection and moisture-barrier lining.

A full packing list and photographic record is provided with every shipment. All goods are dispatched from our atelier in Antalya, Türkiye.

Carriers & Shipping Methods

We select the carrier appropriate to the shipment size and destination:

  • Small & medium parcels: DHL Express, FedEx International Priority
  • Large & multi-piece orders: Specialist textile & art freight forwarders
  • Hotel-scale installations: Dedicated project freight with white-glove delivery

Tracking information is shared by email and WhatsApp once the shipment is collected by the carrier. For freight shipments a dedicated logistics contact handles your order from dispatch to arrival.

Times are estimates after the item leaves Antalya and exclude production lead time. Delays caused by customs clearance are outside our control.

Customs, Duties & Import Taxes — European Union

Although Türkiye and the EU maintain a Customs Union, textile and home décor goods are not fully covered by this agreement. Products in HS Chapters 57–63 (textiles, rugs, curtains) and Chapter 94 (furniture) are subject to standard EU import duties, typically 6.5 % – 12 % of the declared commercial value, depending on the specific tariff heading.

EU import VAT is charged by the destination country at the local standard rate (e.g. 20 % France, 19 % Germany, 20 % Austria). For B2B buyers registered for VAT, this is typically recoverable.

All shipments to the EU are accompanied by a commercial invoice, packing list and a Certificate of Origin (Form A / EUR.1) where applicable. Buyers are responsible for all import duties, VAT and customs handling fees at destination. We declare goods at full commercial value on all customs documents.

GCC member states apply a 5 % common external tariff on most imported goods. Local VAT rates that may apply at import:

For hotel and resort clients, we provide a Certificate of Origin (Turkish origin) and all commercial documents required for GCC customs clearance. Dubai is frequently used as a re-export hub for other GCC destinations — we can ship to your Dubai agent or directly to the final destination.

Dimare Design ships under DAP Incoterms (Delivered At Place): we bear freight risk until the goods arrive at the named delivery address; all import duties, VAT and customs clearance costs are the buyer's responsibility.

Shipping Costs

Shipping costs are calculated per order based on dimensions, weight, destination and chosen carrier. A shipping estimate is provided in every quotation before the order is confirmed.

For project-scale orders (multiple pieces, hotel-suite fits, large installations) a dedicated logistics quote is issued alongside the product quote. We work with freight partners to obtain competitive rates for commercial volumes.

Shipping costs are non-refundable once the shipment has been dispatched, except in cases where the error is on our part.

Risk, Insurance & Claims

Risk of loss or damage transfers to the buyer upon handover to the carrier (DAP Incoterms). Basic cargo insurance is included in all shipments. Extended all-risk insurance is available on request — recommended for high-value installations.

All shipments are photographed in full before dispatch. If goods arrive damaged, the buyer must:

  1. Note the damage on the carrier delivery receipt before signing.
  2. Photograph the outer packaging before opening.
  3. Photograph the damaged item.
  4. Notify us within 48 hours of delivery at info@dimare.design.

Claims submitted after 48 hours or without photographic evidence cannot be processed with the carrier.

Large-Scale Installation Projects

Hotel lobbies, pool shading systems and large macramé installations require specialist freight handling. For orders of this scale we assign a dedicated logistics coordinator who manages:

  • Freight booking and cargo consolidation
  • Customs brokerage and documentation at origin (Türkiye)
  • Coordination with your local agent or import broker at destination
  • Delivery scheduling aligned to your installation date
  • On-site installation guidance (remote or in-person for large projects)

Please inform us of any site access restrictions, crane requirements, or lift limitations at your property before production begins.
